Just reached out to AT&T they said they have the cradle and I had to purchase it and then she credited my bill while I was on the phone. Will see when it comes in the mail.

Hopefully the AT&T reps are better than the T-Mobile reps at getting it right. CehowardNote4 and I both were excited when T-Mobile said they was sending us out a Gear S charging cradle for free, we just had to pay for shipping. When I received the package it was just a wall charger no charging cradle. CehowardNote4 called and confirmed with T-Mobile that his order was also a wall charger only.

Let me know what you get when your package arrives?

I just received my new Gear S cradle I ordered from Amazon. Looks and fits just like my original cradle. It arrived fully charged.

I removed the Gear S body from the wristband and fitted the charger onto the Gear S.

Much easier attaching it this way. :)

Just come back from Samsung service centre here in Pattaya, Thailand. A small piece broke from the cradle when attaching it to Gear S only after 2 weeks use. Samsung said that it was my own fault and I had to buy a new one. They got me one in few days for ~30 USD. They said that I have 1 month warranty for it - but not if the plastic breaks like it did the first time!
Another matter is that it took me more than a month to get Samsung so far that they gave me an answer. I first had to visit the Samsung shop (Pattaya Central Festival Samsung shop) where I bought the S where they promised to call me when they new what to do - visited them again after 2 weeks as I received no phone call. They promised to look at it quickly and phone me - again went there after 1 week as no phone call. Now they had the info (but had forgotten to phone me) and said that they cannot help me and I had to contact Samsung crevice centre on Sukhumvit road, Pattaya. I went there and they agin took my phone number and promised to phone me when they had contacted Bangkok. After 2 weeks again went to the shop as I had no phone call from Samsung. Again they took my details and promised to phone back - this time the phone call came after few days with the info that the problem is not covered by warranty.
Gear S is a great piece of technology - just unfortunate that the quality of the cradle and the service offered is poor.

Glad I bought a spare last month from Samsung when they were still in stock. I still had a 1/2 off code from my Note 4 registration, so I only paid $15. Don't know how people in the US are selling this for $45 to $55.

Take the IPhone 6 Plus for instance, when someone posted a video of the bent phone, Apple was on top of the problem and offered free IPhone 6 plus to anyone who bent their phones.

Maybe we need to start posting videos on YouTube showing the broken clip so that this issue can get the attention it needs.

It has always been very difficult to clip the charging cradle on the gear s. but all of a sudden yesterday, it will no longer fit at all. So, I was on with support, and they provided me with shipping label ( ups 2nd day ) and i sent them the watch and charging cradle. They are most likely replace both items. The charging cradle, while it holds it own charge, is not the best thought out device, because it shouldn't be that hard to clip it on!!

There are two little plastic clips at the top and bottom of the cradle that actually hold it in place. They're not very sturdy, as I broke off a piece of the bottom one last night. It was only a small sliver of the clip, but now the cradle won't stay on the device (never had a problem with it before). Soooooo, I had to order a new one from Amazon since they're back ordered from Samsung (and have been for a few weeks, at least). They're like $29.99 from Samsung, but about $30 more on Amazon and eBay. I've always been very careful when mounting and removing the cradle, but even that didn't keep the clip from breaking. So, it's best to have an extra cradle handy, it seems. Hopefully, Samsung will make a sturdier clip in the near future since these things are definitely not cheap. Maybe that's why they're back ordered. I'm still going to get one from Samsung, though. If you register an order, they will notify you when they're back in stock.

I put my charger on my Gear S last night just before bed. The light came on the cradle, as always. When I got up this morning the watch was dead. Took the cradle off, put it back on, the blue light came on. Inserted the mini usb plug and the S started charging from zero. A couple of hours later it was fully charged and working. Go figure. The cradle attachment is not Samsung's best engineering effort.

As far as attaching the cradle, the method that works best for me is: line up the cradle on the back of the watch. Hold the cradle in place with the right thumb pressing against the lower right corner. Use the left thumb to press against the upper left corner. Cradles snaps right into place.

This charging issue happened to me once too. Unexplainable.

Mine had a similar issue with the charger last night. Verizon is covering it. Basically, the plastic hook it the back of the charging cradle broke and that is why mine would not stay attached. So, till mine comes in, I have to use a zip tie or rubber band to hold it in place while it charges. I have owned all the generations of Galaxy Gear and this design is by far the worst.

I had the same issue last night. Those little clips are pretty fragile for a device that's so pricey.

I decided to buy another cradle from Amazon. I found it for $20 with Prime shipping. It will be here on Monday.

I was going to contact Samsung product support, and still may do so, but I decided to spend $20 and buy another one then deal with the hassle of sending my watch in and waiting for I don't know how long to get it back.

There's no need to send the device, just the cradle.

Samsung now has the cradles on their site. If you register the gear s with them don't they still give out the 50% off coupons for accessories?

If so, I can buy 2 cradles for the price of 1. I was hoping they had the replacement bands as well.

If you order the cradle from Samsung, it's like $29.99. The bad news is they've been back ordered for a while. If you enter an order, though, they'll notify when they're back in stock. You'll have to replace your order then.

Indeed! Users will need to be very careful attaching and detaching the cradle.

This actually seems to be a design/quality issue on Samsung's part, not a physical damage issue. They need to improve this quality issue and replace the cradle for free, especially since this is a problem for so many users.

FYI There are some listed on ebay I do not know if they are official but they are shipped from overseas and $13 and $14 bucks...

I believe they are official, but every one of them ships from China. I may buy one just for the hell of it. If I do, I'll post about it later.

I really think that its a poor design issue and the plastic part will eventually break over time considering the stress level placed on the joint. Too bad they could not come up with a wireless charging device like the Moto 360

This is great to know. I have only had the watch 2 weeks but do feel the charger connection is difficult to get on right. I am being much more careful after reading all the problems people are having. I am assuming the docks have failed without excessive force.
Thanks.

My friend ordered one and it is on the way... I have no issues with getting a deal from overseas if it is OEM or quality. I got my curved screen protectors in 11 days and all my watch bands within 2 weeks. I got mine from Samsung but if these were selling for this price when I got mine I would have gotten it from ebay.
