my headphone jack isn't working

so when i plug my headphones in phone detects them but when i try to play music nothing comes out. microphone works though and when i slowly plug them out a little static can be heard headphones work on my pc (lg l90)

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried different headphones? That can narrow the problem down to the headphones themselves or the jack.

i dont think its the headphones i've tried different ones and they dont work

Make sure the jack is completely clean -- use a can of compressed air to blow it out, if necessary. If it still happens, then something is wrong with the jack, which probably has to be replaced.

I agree, they may be some lint accumulated inside. I would try using a flashlight and a needle to try and fish it out, before using compressed air. It may impact it and make it even worse to remove

cleaned it but still doesn't work
