My Home Button now opens that obnoxious voice command program.

Please make it go back to my home screen.

I've not set voice commands up yet. And it truly angers my husband when I go into some app at 3am & "little miss perky" wakes him up.

Help save my marriage, sanity & the sanity of my cats. (They don't like it either) =^,^=

Are you referring to Google Assistant? Hi! I'm Google, how can I help you? and all that?

The welcome greeting is temporary... like an audio splash screen. It'll go away.

Long press = Google Assistant

Haven't tried turning it off on my phone, so don't know what it will revert to, but here are instructions from Google to turn Assistant on or off

Turn on
On your phone, touch and hold the Home button.
When asked if you want to turn on the Google Assistant, tap Yes.

Turn off
On your phone, touch and hold the Home button.
At the top right, tap More and then Settings.
Next to "Google Assistant," turn off the switch.
