My htc incredible is stuck on the droid screen

My phone will not go any further than the droid screen then starts over and over again. I have a new phone but I never backed up my contacts, is there a way to stop this from happening or is a total loss?

Hi, I am trying to recover my contacts from my Droid Incredible which is stuck in the rebooting loop. I am able to boot to the recover menu. Could you let me know how I can access the contacts file on my Droid Incredible? Thanks.

Are your contacts not saved with Google?

No, I did not save my contacts in Google, only on local storage.

Hmm, if they are only saved local, that's not good. Is there a Fastboot option in your Recovery Menu?

In the future, I would suggest keeping your contacts with Google.

HELP not sure if I am in right forum I have an N9977 model love it!! worked well until yesterday now stuck in a reboot and loops shows the android and the word android I have done a factory reset a delete the cache I am a noob so reading in the forums that is far as I got. I didnt download anything but it did go flat any suggestions?

So you did a factory reset, and, it's still stuck in a loop? Did you do anything prior to this? Root/flash a ROM?
