My HTC One M8 doesn't show network mode

Its At&t carrier but I am using in Pakistan with Telenor. Whenever I turns on mobile data, it starts using Edge. Although I am in 3g supported area. When I put my sim in some other hanset it starts using 3g H+. Network mode option is missing, I also tried some apps i.e Network Monitor, Switch Network Type but it's of no use.

Maybe it just doesn't have the required 4G and LTE bands.

Telenor doesn't have 4G LTE--the highest is HSPA+, but that should be still be compatible, since it uses the 2100 MHz band. Have you checked to make sure you're using the correct APN settings? https://www.telenor.rs/?page=6249
