Picked up my review unit. Will be giving my thoughts on this beauty for the next 2 months.

Mine is the Mate10 Pro 128GB with 6GB RAM.

Any questions please ask away.

I'll be putting together a series of YouTube videos shot with my Note8, as well as a comparison of Mate10 Pro to Note8, which I'll shoot with my S7 Edge.

I am putting this post here as a place holder for any updates I add to the thread.

Some pictures I have taken with the phone.

Do you keep your review unit from the companies ?

No, I have it for an extended period of 2 months though.

interested in battery experience, of course.

Also, how it sounds using wired headphones through a dongle.
The battery did well in it's 2nd full charge, of course it's still settling in, but as you can see below, 7h47m SOT, this was with 19 Hours off charge, I now see I forgot to take a screenshot of the overall page, lol, the Battery Usage setup is so weird, VS. Most Androids I have used. I'll have to do another run.

That's great, i average 7 to 8 sot with mate 9, I'm pretty sure the 10 pro should be much better, give it time and some updates might help

It definitely will, the Battery is still in it's settling in period it will take quite a few more charge cycles to be fully optimized.

Today I plan on running it all the way down to 0%.

I must say I am truly impressed with the device overall, not quite as refined as the Note8 but still incredibly well built in terms of both software and hardware.
How's the software ? And gaming on it?
The Software is good, very fast and smooth around the UI, and very well optimized. This thing has 6GB RAM, yet barely if ever uses more than 2.6GB RAM even when heavily multitasking, it gets down to about 2.9GB free RAM, basically it hardly uses more than half of what is available.

I have not yet gamed on it but do have Asphalt installed so I'll be giving it a go between today and tomorrow.

I am confident that it will handle the Memory side of gaming very well, but we will have to see how this Kirin970 CPU and Mali G72 12core GPU work under very heavy load.

The phone barely ever gets warm or hot, even with the incredibly fast Huawei Super Charger fast charging it. Even using the Camera heavily does not seem to create too much heat, although it does take a hit on the battery which I guess is to be expected as the Camera is very powerful with f/1.6 Cameras and the NPU doing a lot of work to identify what you are capturing.

All phones battery drains fast under camera usage, the quickst was my G4 and S7 Edge, the Mate 9 just lasts and lasts...

Good to know that about the mate 10, one thing i really like, is that there is minimal or zero throttling when playing heavy cpu games, like Tekken 6, it barely works on any samsung device, due to their DVFS throttling bull****.

How's the camera NPU performing while being aimed at different objects ?

It's decent, sometimes it immediately identifies what you are pointing it at, but other times it really struggles and takes a while, especially if there is a variety of that same thing.
