Up until now I would be able to enter an address in the search bar which would open up a google page with the address. i would select the address and google maps would open and from there I woud choose the Android navigation app.
Yeterday all of a sudden all of that changed. When I enter an address I still get the browser and am able to get to google maps but I no longer have the choice to use the native navigation app and it does not see "my location" even though all of that is enabled.
This is very critical for me since I just moved to a new state and the navi on the phone was my lifeline.
Any help would be appriciated.

No one else has this issue? Having the same problem with my Bionic. All i get is "waiiting for location"

I just did step by step what you described and it works fine for me.

There are two things you should try.

1. from the home screen, hit menu, manage apps, scroll down to maps. select it. scroll down to clear defaults and selct that.

2. open up google maps. hit menu, then settings, then display. you'll see at the bottom you can set a bubble action. open that you should select Navigation (driving) if its not already selected.

Try them individually first and see what happens. you will need to set new defaults thus hopefully putting you back where you need to be.

for you, it just seems that you have a bad gps signal. try a heard reset and maybe that will fix your problem.
