Well I'm on Harmonia 1.7 on my Optimus V.

Anyways, I tried to change the top bar with UOTKitchen.

It worked fine, however I was unable to change the network icon (the one to the right of the 3G icon). I tried numerous different icon packs in the kitchen. All of my icons changed perfectly expect that one.

Is there any way I could do it manually?

Thanks

Well since it's froyo, uotkitchen said I should only upload framework-res.apk, so I only uploaded that. Also, do you have a link that explains how I could change it manually?

I couldnt find a solution either. It does the same thing with gingerbread when using the custom colors on the icons :'(

Well I searched and I think you have to manually edit the framework res file. Im going to try that

The signal bar png's you need to change are named "sprint_stat_sys_airplane_mode.png" through "sprint_stat_sys_signal_6_white_cdma.png" in the drawable-mdpi folder. There are 31 images total.

That's from the optimus slider. I wouldn't see why the optimus v wouldn't be the same. Everythings the same about the phone besides the home and menu button are swapped and the obvious hardware added (keyboard)
But if that doesn't work for you I can turn on my optimus v and give it a look for you and tell you what you need to change and how to get to the files.
I'm a themer, not just some guy givin bs info lol
Check out my ICS theme I made for the optimus slider.

I figured it out.

For the Optimus V, for some reason the signal bar icons are in the drawable-mdpi folder of lge-res.apk.
