my "perfect thunderbolt" exibiting some minor issues

Up until this week, this phone has been rock solid. The two issues I'm experiencing are volume, and no 4g. I live in a 3g area only, but twice this week I have been in full 4g where I had never experienced problems before, and it is non existent now. Volume on notifications and ringtone is going ultra quiet or non existent on its own also. Tried doing sim card and batt. Pull to no avail. Stock tb, non rooted

For 4G try: Dial ##778#, Edit mode, password is 000000, Modem Settings, Rev A. If set to enable change to eHRPD. If set to eHRPD change to enable. Then, Menu, Commit modifications. Your phone will restart. eHRPD works best for me. It's the default. But... whatever works best for you.

As for Volume, go to the Market and download Volume Lockerl. Works very well.

Is this 4G area that your going to an established 4G area. It could be possible that it is in testing phase and Verizon has not fully activated it yet. Where I lived it was spar-attic just prior to them fully turning it on.

Yes, and I woke up this morning and it seemed to be working, spotty, but there. I think you are right. Closer I get to city, the better it gets. Three months ago signal was strong here at my dads, and now its 3g only. No worries though, 3g is fine. And thanks, Frank, volume locker works great

Also the new radios they put out for gingerbread need a stronger signal to activate 4G now.
