Android Central Question

I have the Samsung galaxy S7 edge, and I was charging it like every normal day but when i press the power button to see the percentage of the battery I understood that the phone wasn't opening. I unplug it and saw that the a small led light that has on the top which glows whenever the phones charges, was still on even if I had unplugged the charger. Nevertheless I tried the "Reboot for frozen phones" that wanted me to press the power button and the down volume for around 10s but eventually it didn't work. I waited till the next morning so maybe the battery dries out, and I saw that the led light was off. The thing is that when I plugged the charger nothing happened and yea there's zero respond on the phone.
Any idea what could the problem be?
Thank you.

Welcome as a new member.

If a different charger or USB lead don’t fix it, there may be hardware damage, or the battery may be bad.

Try a different charging cable/plug, and let it charge on a wall outlet undisturbed for at least 6 hours. Then press and hold Power for at least 20 seconds. If nothing happens, then as belodion said, it could be a failed battery or faulty motherboard. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop in that case.

Just to keep you updates. I took it for repair and I was notified that it was actually a motherboard problem. So I don't have any other choice to move on, on a new phone (Huawei P40 Lite). Thank you all for your time.
