My phone is plugged in, but won't connect to the charger.

My Android Galaxy Note 3 will NOT charge. I have it plugged in, it won't connect to the charger and won't charge. It seriously just stays the same. It is not the wall seeing as how my laptop charges perfectly, so I am seriously confused. Here's the kicker... when I plugged it in at 11, IT WAS CHARGING JUST FINE! I need help. Especially since my phone is my only way to stay in contact with my family.

How do I do this exactly?

With a strong light and a strong magnifying glass.

Also try the charger in another phone. It might have gone bad during the night. And try your charger in a different phone. (If that works, it points to a bad port in your phone.) And if it has a detachable cable, try a different cable.

I bought a new charger ..it worked great at first .Now I have to stand on my head , hold my mouth just right and pray the planets are in alignment to get my phone to charge.. This was happening before I bought the new charger.. What can I do?

Try a different USB lead, and make sure that the USB port connector is clean and undamaged.
