I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. I put a wrong firmware on my phone and then the phone was screwed. So i tried to get it to connect with Kies, to put it into recovery mode, but it just kept saying 'connecting'. So i tried to put a new firmware into my phone, without putting it into recovery mode. The download went fine and all the apps was downloaded to the phone. Put when the phone got to the point where it should start, it just got stuck where the screen says 'Samsung' just before starting. I really dont know what to do now, so I hope that you can help me.

Louise.

Welcome to the forums. You may need to flash the stock ROM with a PC program called Odin. Which model is it?

You can force a firmware install on the phone. Follow the instructions below. You will need the actual model number and serial number from the tag behind the battery. Do this and write it down before you start.

This process will more than likely factory reset your phone so back up any data that is vital.

You will want to put your phone in download mode. Power the phone completely off.

Volume down, home button, and power button all at the same time. This will boot in to download mode. Hit volume up to start the update.

Plug in to your computer, make sure you have Samsung Kies installed before your start.

Once you are ready and plugged in click options up top in Samsung Kies, click update. It will ask you for the model number and serial number. After you put those in it will tell you what the latest software version you are suppose to be on. Follow the prompts from there. It will download the latest firmware and install it.

Keep in mind this will wipe the phone clean to just like when you bought it from the store. When it's done it will have a fresh install of the latest update.

I cant get my phone to connect with Kies?

It will look like it is not connected but it should be connected when you put the phone in download mode. Just follow the instructions and it should start installing once it downloads the firmware.

Here you go. Under the model name you will need to put the complete mode name SM-GT9300 or whatever your phone says on the sticker behind the battery.
