It's not really that secure, anyone with a black and white scan of your finger on a piece of paper can get into your phone.
No no, there's ways. Granted nobody would go that far, but there's ways. And either way, it was just released today. Give me a break, I'm not going to read up on a fingerprint scanner. I would trust that the information is right, but that's obviously not the case. Apparently it's harder to fool than I previously thought.
That's sort of why it's not that big of a deal. There will be a ton of different 64-bit smartphones before the software starts to take advantage of it. Incorporating it earlier than necessary isn't really innovation, it's just a product road map that wasn't super well thought out.
Okay okay calm down a minute. The specs? Mostly minimal, even 64 bit. Samsung and Qualcomm are making processors that are much more powerful without the 64 bit aspect. And, seeing 64 bit is coming to Android phones within the next year like Kevin said, it will only be exclusive to Apple for a small amount of time. These updates are mostly minimal, I mean the iPhone 4s? That was a terrible upgrade. The only thing that I see even remotely important to the release is the fingerprint scanner. That's probably the only non minimal addition to the phone. The m7 chip was outdone by the Moto X, it's not new technology. It's just Apple playing catch up, but that's what you get when you only release one or two phones a year
If he didn't know it, he wasn't paying attention. It was all over the place when the 4s was unveiled.
Exactly! The first phone that had NFC didn't really have any advantage over other phones at the time without NFC.Like NFC??

I am curious to see how they get the 64 bit to work/ be utiluzed with the low memory. That is going to be very interesting. Any theories on this floating around?
Are we going to continue to focus on just the fingerprint scanner, and how you guys feel about one particular member?
My guess would be that if it had more RAM than the other, current flagship phones then they'd probably highlight that. I could be wrong, but I don't see the logic in hiding a spec that's way better than your competitors. It isn't known yet how much memory the 5S will have, as far as I know.
Uhm. In case you haven't noticed, apples chips tend to be more powerful than their competition's. The A6 chip was faster than quad cores from Qualcomm, for example. The A7 will be no different.
Also; LOL at apple playing catch up with the M7. This iPhone has been in development for over a year, so it isn't possible for them to be playing catch up with a device that didn't exist at the time.

Sure, the iPhone 5 clocked at 1.3 is more powerful than the Galaxy s4 clocked at 1.9. Hahahaha okay whatever makes you happy. And yeah, they are. Motorola released this technology first, although they may not have had it before Apple. Motorola had it first released. Now if Apple had released the phone sooner it could have been different, but they're catching up at the moment.

They've also never had more RAM than other phones at the time. That also points to the phone not having more RAM than can be addressed by 32 bits.Apple has never mentioned RAM or processor specs at any event.
