It happened to me a couple of times that I woke up and realized that my alarm didn't went off. When I woke up my phone by swiping over the screen all of a sudden my alarm went off and received all my mails and teksts that I didn't hear before. Wonder what's causing this. If you can't rely on your alarm etc, that's pretty messed up.

That doesn't sound right!
Do you have all your volumes at audible levels?
Sounds like the device is in deep sleep or do not disturb mode. Might want to poke around in your settings a bit.
Another thing is a cache partition wipe, that usually cures minor ailments...

Thnx Guys, i will try to clear my cache. Audio is all good. Something happens during the night what causes the phone to go silent until woken up.

Are you using the stock clock/alarm app? If so, deep sleep should not interfere with its functioning. If you're using a 3rd-party app, you may need to disable battery "optimization" for that app.

Do Not Disturb mode, if enabled, also can block alarms, unless you use the setting to except alarms.

This just happened to me as well. Never happened before today and the only thing thats changed is the latest update. Fortunately I wake up at the same time everyday automatically.

I use the Google Clock and put all my apps in the "Always Sleep" mode in the battery optimization screen and my alarm didn't go off so I can confirm this could be a problem.

I use the stock clock and havent changed any options at all and mine failed to go off until I woke the phone this morning. It worked all last week, then today nothing. The only thing to change was the latest update. I cleared the cache partition Friday night after the update as I always do after a update.

Hmm seems I'm not the only one. So far So good after a couple of days but that's what I thought the last time around as well and went wrong again.

Snap! The Google abstract mentioned 03:13 but can't find in thread. Just upgraded software on S6E and wake up to find it's 03:13 on night edge. Alarm still shows as 05:30. Done this for a few days now.
PS why does night edge show alarm time for an alarm that is only in two or three days time?

I am currently having a similar issue with my AT&T S8+. This morning I overslept because my alarm didn't go off. When I checked my phone, the time showed 1:43 AM and it was 6:45 AM, and the phone was frozen. I had to do reboot the phone by holding the power button + volume down button. That was the only way to make my phone work again. This is the second time that this has happened to me within maybe two months. I guess a factory reboot would resolve it but I would hate to have to redo everything I've done to get my phone the way I like (which literally takes about 3 days lol).

Anybody else experiencing their S8 or S8+ freezing on them overnight?
