AC Question

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can help me. I have a Galaxy S4 and I've had it for about 2 years. I cannot afford to upgrade very often so always look after my phones very well (it doesn't even have a single scratch!). Just recently I was using it and it ran very hot and the battery started draining like crazy! I charged it and ever since it's been draining within 2 hours!! I've seen other reports of this and followed advice such as replacing the battery, turning off auto updates, making sure software is all up to date, taking out my microSD card and as a last resort doing a factory reset. None of these have worked. I have also now noticed the battery is draining when the phone is off...what is that all about?? I'm really stumped as this is a new battery. Is my phone having a hardware issue? Is it just it's age and constant use for nearly 2 years catching up with it?

I'd be really grateful for any help.

Kev

Hello, I am the poster of this question, should have created an account before I posted really, lol.

The old battery was in fine shape aside from the age. I did the 'spin' test and it didn't spin and had no signs of swelling, and yes, the new battery is an original Samsung.

Well. Its probably old. I mean two years for a phone being used is long enough. Even for a high edge phone. Try to bring it to a phone repair shop.
