My Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro (12.2) is flashing black. How do I fix it? Thanks

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and it flashes black. Sometimes it won't flash but most of the time it does, at about 2 flashes per second. I got it from a friend so I am not sure how old it is or how long it has been flashing. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!
