My Screen Scratched!

Yeah but what kind of spray would you use? I think this guy should take a close up picture of the scratch so we can see it. Im kind of thinking that if you rub it hard enough with the right motion, it should come out. I dont see how something could scratch it if it wasnt presured to hard. Something might have happened that he cant think of happening. Gorilla Glass is not easy to scratch.

just screen cleaning spray available at staples or best buy

Do any of you use a screen protector? I have a screen protector (is removable), but I like it much better without it.

No. And I made that decision based on the fact that the screen is constructed with Gorilla Glass... and the fact that I tend to really baby my phones (at least for the first few months!). I do have my phone in a Case-Mate Pop case, though.

Oh god! My first drop came early.

I was hanging out with some friends after school today with my phone in my blazer pocket. I leaned back in my chair and I heard an unnerving plastic-to-concrete sound. The damage is pretty bad. The plastic chrome-looking trim around the phone is evidently quite cheap. It has several small dents on the right side.

I was so upset that I called AT&T to see what my replacement options were. Do not do this! The lady said that since I told her I had dropped my phone, she flagged my account, prohibiting me from getting insurance (according to her, anyway. I put insurance on my line through the web as soon as I hung up and it seemed to have worked.) or returning the phone within 30 days if I don't like it.

I can live with it. Damage is inevitable, I suppose. I just wish my honeymoon with this beautiful device had lasted longer. Be careful with these phones, guys. It seems their durability may be a little on the less-desirable side.

Yowch! What a bummer. But you have a great positive attitude. ;)

i too dropped mine already although not as bad it fell about four feet off of the counter of my sink onto tile after the wife bumped it the one corner it landed on is slightly dented and scuffed everything else is fine. first phone i dropped in 5 years

It's weird how things you want to protect always seems to get messed up. This happens to me all the time.

The Plastic around the phone isnt super durable to where you drop it on the concrete and its gonna be ok. But I wall say I dropped the phone while I was on it,(Since its lightweight and slippery factor slipped out of my hand while I was on it) but I was sitting at my desk in my room, on carpet. But my Desk has a bottom floor layer so when I dopped the phone it flipped around on that layer and then hit the wall. Picked it up and no scuffes at all. (That just rhymend?) It sounded like it took a beating, but nothing was wrong with it. Thanks to the Carpet lol. So I know to be a little more careful now because even though it is light, the phone is slippery to. I need that barely there Casemate Case.

You dropped it on concrete and it took a couple of bumps. I would say durability is ok. My wife dropped her EVO out of her pocket about two feet out of a seat at a baseball game. It landed on a corner and the screen shattered. I would say you made out well.

That sucks honestly. But if you put insurance on there, you can still report it lost or stolen online and get a replacement. But your gonna pay the more expensive fee if you really want to go all out. At least thats what I would do.

Well, my iPhone had seen far worse drops and took much less damage, so I'm kind of comparing it to that.

I once knocked an iPhone off my nightstand. 2 foot drop on to my tile floor. Flat down screen side. The entire screen shattered. It all depends on how they drop. Dropped my other iPhone a ton of times and it was always fine. I won't carry a phone without a snap on case anymore and I also use a holster. The way I see it, if you get away with an uncracked screen and a phone that still works after a drop, especially on concrete you made out pretty good.

invisible shield sucks for clarity...... use a cheap protector that requires no liquid to install and stay away from anti glare that sucks too. you should NOT be able to tell you have a screen protector on your phone my opinion!
