My system update on moto g4 plus can't seem to update to higher version.

[Android Central Question]

It's been like this for about 2-3 months . Whenever I go to the system update in my settings on moto g4 plus there is this error that pops up saying "An update is currently being downloaded.You will be notified when it is completed". Because of this, neither I can update my device nor can I look for any further update.
Please help me with this.
Hoping to get a solution soon.

Try clearing your cached data in Settings, Storage. If no go, try a cache partition wipe. Tell us if still no go.

I am sorry,I did what u asked for,But still the same error is being displayed.
Also I would like to mention this that my device storage is really running low, it is like 243MB is available.
