My Tab is up to date..2.3.6

Hello all, my tablet is running ICS and i actually love it!! It updated the day it pushed out.However i am hanging out with a friend this weekend and i asked how ICS is working for him and his answer was.... I haven't had an update push to my tablet(same tablet as mine)a500. I grabbed his tab and went to system updates and it says it is up to date(2.3.6)? I did a soft reset volume up and the power button. Still not finding ICS ... Anybody have any ideas aside from wiping the tablet clean.... ? Thanks in advance!!!

Make sure he has the app from acer installed to get the update. If he doesn't it will show up in the play store under his app list.

That doesn't quite make sense. Was the 2.3.6 the Android version or does it refer to something else like the firmware build? 2.3.6 is Gingerbread, which the A500 never had, since it shipped as a Honeycomb tablet (i.e., at least version 3.0).

U r right... I was a bit off... Was on my gs2 which is on gingerbread... lol good catch though , i went into the app store and dl the update... Worked like a charm!!! Thanks, weird though i didn't remember doing that with mine...
