My tablet is painfully slow...help

i have a dragon touch also but this is an android issue, but this site wont tell you the truth.your memory is full and there is no way to clean it without rooting it.
i read about it at another site.
every android ive had/3 has done this.you can see it by going to settings and near the bottom is a strange set of controls.deep in those controls is a memory thing.says something like geek controls.it recommends not using them.if you click on it then stats,it will say your cache is critical,your foreground memory is critical and your background is critical.
it has no way to clear these.ive tried everything.
keyboard screws up and tablet crashes all the time.
this site is all about selling you another one as you can see they wont give you a straight answer.

settings,developer apps,process stats.menu button will give you foreground,background,cache.
then get mad.

I've experience the same on 2 new tablets an ASUS memo 176cx and a Lenevo Tab 2 10A 70 the problems started after firmware updates.
my work-around was to login to my router/gateway and change the Mode setting from B G N to B and G only.
Doing a speed test on OOKLA when on B G N resulted in 2mbs downstream, then setting the router for B G only increased the speed to 13mgs on both tablets..
The ASUS was just updated to Lollipop 5.01 and now B G N works fine, but the Lenevo slowed down because of the addition of N mode so I'm still running B and G. once Lenevo releases releases Lollipop 5.01 I'll see if that fixes the problem with Mode BGN.

Try using a ram booster app now my tablet run faster than ever. Hope it's work for you!!!

I use this strictly at home via my WiFi network and it is painfully slow. My router is giving me about 20 mbps and all other devices i.e. iPad, HP laptop - all run extremely fast. Pages take forever to load, it locks up constantly, videos take forever to load if they load at all. The browser is absolutely horrible.

Based upon the reviews and what I experienced in the store, this is not the same item. It cannot be my router since I never had this problem and all other items are performing at optimal speed

The device is running Android 4.0

Any suggestions on how this problem can be rectified

BTW - this is a brand new tablet

I have 360 securiy on my tablet. It keeps it clean when used. A tablet is like any computer. It has to have the cache cleaned daily if you use it a lot. Google how to find your history and delete those also. You may also go into settings and click on each app to check the cache. It gives you a button to clean those. I hope I have helped.
