My Trip to Best Buy

Checked out the Pixel 6 at Best Buy too

Took a couple side by side pics next to my S21 Ultra.
The 6 Pro and S21U are pretty much the same size. The curve on the 6 Pro is not as pronounced as the S21U. The 6 Pro has very slightly larger side bezels which makes the curve even less noticeable.



After seeing them in person I am even more excited for next week!!!

I guess I’m in the minority but I’m wild about that Stormy! My Pixel 2 and my 3 XL are white. I entered white as my initial choice but changed it to Stormy when the order kicked up the first error code. I love the black trim on the regular 6. I’m so happy to have black trim on at least one of the Pro models. I love the shades of grey.

A user in the preorder thread said the 6 pro is the same as the 4xl. Hoping that's correct or pretty close. .

The 6Pro is larger than the 4XL. The 6 is almost identical to the 4XL. Approx. 0.14 x 0.02 x 0.3 larger.

I like the color, just think the name "Stormy" is a little strong.

After we have the phones in our hands we could have a contest to pick a newer/better/different name for the color.

I'm going to have to go to my local Best Buy and see if they have it. I was a little concerned about the size of the Pro (coming from 3XL), but I want those cameras!

Same with me, I'm also coming from a 3XL. I saw someone on here compare a 3XL case side by side with a 6 Pro case... the Pro case wasn't too much bigger or wider, but it's still bigger. I am concerned I won't be able to pocket carry a Pro though.... the 3XL is pretty much maxxing my pockets out as it is

Phones are so close to each other in size. They don't feel heavy at all and that's with the security thing attached...

I want that bigger screen, but the Pro is going to be a real pocketful for someone like me who wears jeans mostly. If you wear slacks, cargo's, or scrubs it'll probably be more doable. I'm going to have to get to Best Buy and see them in person before I order.

I think depending jeans I agree.. I have a zippered pouch I throw my Fold in that might get some usage haha

Thank you! That was the best real world comparison I could get without actually comparing them physically in a store. I think with a thin case the Pro would be doable... not sure about sitting though. There'll probably be no way I can actually slide one in my pocket to see.. safely or legally that is lol.

The only large phone i ever had was pixel 4XL. I got used to it and loved that brick design very much. How much bigger is 6 pro compare to that?

I have a 4xl and went to best buy yesterday on long island to check out the pixel 6 and 6 pro. The 6 is the same size. the 6 pro is slightly taller, but the width and thickness (outside of the camera bar) are not noticable. I will say, I love the feel of my 4xl when it's not in a case, the 6 pro is definitely slipperier, but it's going to be in a case anyway. not sure I would feel comfortable without a case.

Went to Best Buy myself yesterday. Pro is about same size as my 4XL as others have stated. Yes, it's slippery, but I always use a case. The battery on the 6 Pro was at 0% so I couldn't get the screen to turn on. I liked the mottled stormy effect on the rear. The regular 6 next to it was charged, but I couldn't do much with the security attachment on. Both phones felt premium and saw nothing negative.

Exactly! Especially when I'm in loose shorts and carrying another phone daily...

My experience:

Pixel 4A - Jean pocket friendly even when sitting down. A pocket's dream!

Pixel 5A (shares similar size to the Pixel 6) - Jean pocket friendly but pokes at me a little when I'm sitting down (and I'm pretty thin). The 5A already feels a bit heavy in the pocket to me at 183 g (6.46 oz) and the 6 is 207 g (7.30 oz).

Pixel 6 Pro - I'm passing on. Even though it's slightly taller than the regular 6 I still need something semi comfortable to walk in. I also don't need the extra features it offers. The pro weighs 210 g (7.41 oz).

Just see the pixel 6 and look nice .. the bazel is not that big in person.. not sure about the brightness (not that bright)but this is demo unit hope the retail one is brighter.

+1 That's an awesome comparison. Based on that website, the 4 XL and 6 Pro are very similar. Yeah, the 6 Pro is larger, though not much.
