My WhiteStone Dome is here!!!

I applied one for my phone and my sister's phone and the screen protector looks absolutely great! Barely could tell you have it on - i love the feel of it, better than any plastic film screen protector. I even purchased 2 "replacements" just in case something happens to the one we have. But overall, really good screen protector!

Just got mine in today and just finished the install. Turned out perfect. Tedious process installing the protector. I've put on countless glass protectors over the years and this one by far the most difficult, but also gratifying for some odd reason. They should definitely give 2 protectors for the price IMO. The quality of the glass is phenomenal and if applied correctly it is worth the price. After wasting a lot of money on cheap glass protectors off Amazon for the s8+ and a few for the Note 8, THIS IS THE ONE TO GET! I can see where it could be intimidating, but take your time and will turn out great. Rocking it with my black spigen thin fit case.

Tips:

highly recommend doing it in the bathroom with light steam from the shower.

DO NOT RUSH

I cured mine for longer than the recommended time. Might not matter, but my ocd was telling me otherwise.

GOOD LUCK

Indeed.... I think most people miss the part that you have to strive for a dust free environment and also move as quickly as you can once you have the initial dust removal done. Also use the dust removal stickers even if you don't see anything...

I now have a question - I have to admit, the first couple of times I failed on the glue part and it kept running off. The only reason why I'm mentioning this is because I just used the S Pen and noticed that it was covered in glue, I wiped it off, but I'm concerned about the spen holder - how do I make sure to remove whatever drops of glue are left inside if any? I can smell the remnants of the glue inside, but I don't know if there's any in there or not. I would hate to have it cure while I'm outside :(

Other than that, I am loving my whitestone dome screen protector. I just want to figure out how to remove the glue from the inside of the spen holder

I think if any got past the end of the S pen it wouldn't be much. I'd take a Q tip and see if any cotton gets stuck around the pen hole. If you see any a tooth pick should be able to get it off as when it dries it tends to clump up for easy removal.

I blew as much out as I could, then I took a paper towel and rolled it as small as it can to fit inside to try to wipe off whatever is there - but I did exactly as you said and noticed that the cotton didn't get stuck at all. The only thing that remains is I can smell a tad bit of the glue, so maybe that will fade off in time? I just do not want my pen to get stuck in there lol

The glue smell hung around for a few days after I installed mine, it's some strong smelling stuff.

It definitely is strong! The first time I installed it on my sister's, it took me no longer than 5 minutes and it was a breeze. But for some reason, when I had to install mine, I got nervous and kept messing up - the first round ended up with the glue spilling down when I tried to move the glue to the middle of the screen, so I think that was what made the whole s-pen thing happen. Everything else seems fine it didn't fall in the charging port or headphone jack, just by the s-pen and when I took it out today, I noticed it was covered in glue I got so worried. Thankfully, nothing seems wrong - I tested it multiple times taking it in and out to make sure there is not defectiveness, but I think I cleaned it out for the most part, whatever was left in there.

tI am not sure if it's worth picking this up lol, some people reported that the glue goes in the buttons and spen, so this kinda worries me, i dont want to damage anything

I had no such issues installing mine, but I'm sure it is possible that can happen. It is worth it if it is installed correctly.

You can always tape off the ports if you are really concerned

My install went great tonight also. No adhesive leaked into any buttons, ports or into my S pen.

Also, can you remove the screen easy after months? I saw the video of the guy removing it, but it was just cured some hours ago, not months ago...

anyone tried to remove the dome protector after months? Does it remove the oleophobic coating when removing it?

My top left corner is showing some artifacts: it looks like "grease" but i think its air bubbles and they seem to be spreading doen the left edge.

Annoying. Especially since its only been on for a week, no cover used, and my installation was perfect.

Looks like i moght have to remove it and reinstall.

i dont think you can re-install it after using the UV light

I believe you can reinstall as long as you are able to safely remove the first adhesive and then you should be able to reapply with the second bottle that was included.

I have some tiny bubbles that popped up running along the lower right of the screen protector. It's not noticeable during use, only when I'm inspecting it while it's off.

I cleaned off whatever glue was in the s pen holder - I only just notice the smell on the pen. It was my own fault as I pushed too hard when trying to level the glue to the center, it ended up slipping all the way to the bottom of the phone, but it didn't get anywhere else. My best guess is that it just touched over the s pen and when I removed it, it touched the pen hence why it had glue all over it. Haven't had issues with it since - I'm still able to use the pen and it hasn't gotten stuck or anything. I was even outside in the sun all day on Saturday so if there was any glue it would have cured since I had my phone in my hand the whole time.

I was wondering if this protector was truly "edge to edge." Meaning if you look at it from the side, can you see any gap? Are you able to see the entire screen? Can you still see edge lighting if you are using the option? Thank you!
