I am new to the Evo3d. I have the hboot 1.5 and did the HTC Unlock method, have TWRP, and root access. When I go to flash a ROM it says:

--Verify md5 for /sdcard/CleanROM_2.9.5.zip
--No md5 file found. ignoring

Is the no md5 file found normal or am I doing something wrong?? I have flashed Scott's CleanRom and everything works(data,WiFi, ect.) Just curious if this is normal or not.

Thanks for all the help.:D

I have flash GUI. I just wanted to know if the no md5 message was normal or not....

when you flash any zip its either signed or not signed your recovery is set to ignore the unsigned zips so it will flash and the same go's for the MD5 its set to ignore if its not found in the zip. you are not doing anything wrong so keep flashing and enjoy.....

Yea, its just to make sure the file hasn't been messed with it altered in anyway... Just make sure you get cleanrom from scottsroms.com and you should be good to go, regardless of MD5,

If you have a few minutes this video explains it pretty well. It's basically a way to verify that what you are installing on your phone is the same thing that the developer uploaded. In short it's an encrypted check sum algorithm that verifies file integrity.

What is an MD5 Checksum (Hash)? Important for downloads. - YouTube

Check the video, it's pretty informative. I knew what MD5 was but couldn't really articulate it until I watched the video.
