nandroid back to froyo and use cm7?

i have the new zvh gingerbread update and rooted on my optimus s but i heard cm7 no longer works on the new version i was wondering in the meantime could i nandroid back to froyo and use cm7 again? any other roms work with the new update?

Once you updated to zvh, you have the zvh radio. None of the Froyo (zvd) or any of the unofficial CM7 optimus ports work with the zvh radio. You can't simply restore a nandroid backup to a zvd-based ROM, as that does not revert the radio. You can revert the radio, but it involves a lot more work than simply restoring a backup. I believe a zvh-based CM7 port is possibly in the works, but not by me so I can't tell you when.

thanks, thats what i thought but i was making sure and i might as well delete my old froyo nandroid then. yeah i seen that post and it'll probably be a while :'( hopefully not though.

You could also revert and run your nandroid backup until there is a CM7 that works with ZVH, and upgrade at that point.

before i do that i have a question i just like cm7 cause it's easier to apply themes could i just use metamorph on this new zvh gingerbread stock rom? i never used metamorph before but i heard you have to be deodexed? then later on when cm7 comes out for zvh i don't have to upgrade again.

Post or search. You don't want his, well he doesn't want you to have it.There are clean froyo nandroid backups available. If you Getty someone elses then you get they're apps they're google accounts and contacts....not good for them.

There is someone (A3thnos maybe) who has a stock nandroid in his signature... He is a pretty active member, I'm sure you can find a post from him somewhere. (Try looking for his CM7 ROM... lol)
