Last time I checked, the $29.99 I am paying for is listed as 4G Data. If they're not serving that in a 4G area, then I'm entitled to a credit. End of story.
Interesting theory. But most folks who bought the Thunderbolt are not in a 4G area. There are many reason to buy this phone.

Then again, I got my NE2 discount and a work discount. So I didn't pay what you did. I would have though. It's a great device whether in 3 or 4G!

If you use the ##778# fix floating around in a few of the other threads you can get back to 3G WITHOUT simultaneous voice/data until it's fixed.

Simultaneous voice and data still works even with Rev A enabled. Believe the eHRPD has more to do with 3G/LTE handoffs.
4G/3G both out. That is why people are not happy about paying $29.99 a month. If it was just 4G that was out, I would not fuss. But 1x is crap. My email account won't connect and using the browser is ridiculously slow when it works. Verizon needs to credit everyone for however long this lasts.
By the way, I called Verizon earlier and they tech person said NOT to do any kind of fix to use 3G. They didn't say why, but they made it a point to mention it.
