Nation wide 4g outage!!!!!

I don't live in LTE area and I'm stuck on 1X for the past few hours. Is there a 3G outage too?

Too bad we all signed a contract that says that coverage isn't guaranteed and that it may at times not be the "most reliable".
 
Last time I checked, the $29.99 I am paying for is listed as 4G Data. If they're not serving that in a 4G area, then I'm entitled to a credit. End of story.

Oh the will hook you up... offered me like $1.60 for the day I lost.
 
Interesting theory. But most folks who bought the Thunderbolt are not in a 4G area. There are many reason to buy this phone.

I got it because of Sense and the big screen. I needed the SD card too. My 2GB card was full!

Then again, I got my NE2 discount and a work discount. So I didn't pay what you did. I would have though. It's a great device whether in 3 or 4G!

That is great, and to each their own, but I DO LIVE IN A 4G area, which is the primary reason I bought this phone (had DINC. prior to owning). So I am not entitled to compensation for a serivce I pay for that is available in my city, that is out? I know many may have bought the phone because they were significant upgrades over their old phones, and in hopes of the 4G network coming their city soon, but those are the choices you made. Everyone buys a phone, car, house, ect..for personal reasons. But when you advertise a product, and the consumer pays for that product.....I expect that product to work, and when it does not, I expect a remedy to fix it.
 
3G is also out for most TB users, yes... because the TB handles 3G differently for the whole simultaneous voice/data thing. If you use the ##778# fix floating around in a few of the other threads you can get back to 3G WITHOUT simultaneous voice/data until it's fixed.

No flaming, just messing, but if that is the case a more appropriate title like "My 4g Outage Story" would have been a little better than "Nation wide 4g outage!!!!!" ;) Just saying.

are you set to Rev. A 3g? or still on eHRPD 3g. eHRPD is down with the 4g network.

:a quick fix until the 4g and eHRPD 3g come back online

dial ##778#
edit mode
password: 000000
Modem settings
Rev. A
enable
ok
menu
commit changes
*phone will restart and you will connect to the normal 3g network

when you hear via twitter of here that the 4g and ehrpd 3g is back up do the same thing but select eHRPD in the rev. a settings and it will go back to normal

with rev a. 3g you will not be able to talk and use data at the same time and the speed will be back down to normal 3g speeds..

Verizon just tweeted that they found the root issue of the outage and are working to fix it.

4G/3G both out. That is why people are not happy about paying $29.99 a month. If it was just 4G that was out, I would not fuss. But 1x is crap. My email account won't connect and using the browser is ridiculously slow when it works. Verizon needs to credit everyone for however long this lasts.

By the way, I called Verizon earlier and they tech person said NOT to do any kind of fix to use 3G. They didn't say why, but they made it a point to mention it.

Simultaneous voice and data still works even with Rev A enabled. Believe the eHRPD has more to do with 3G/LTE handoffs.

did the ##778 & the #*#*4636 thing and running on 3G until Verizon fixes it. no reason not to use the service for which i'm paying
