Can anyone confirm that this works for them (navigating to a contact's address with above voice command)? I've gotten this to work if I use google now directly on the phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 5) but AA doesn't recognize this command.

I've also tried just saying the contact's name, and "take me to John Smith", "Navigate John Smith", etc. all with no luck.

Doesn't work for me. Then again I don't have John Smith in my address book. However for anybody in my address book (with an address of course) it works like a charm. Though I'm more often navigating to places (bars, parks, restaurants) than people's homes.

It works like a charm but you had to qualify that with the fact that you mostly don't use this feature? So does it work, or doesn't it?

So does it work, or doesn't it?

If I have "John Smith's" address in my google contacts it works fine for me. I just press the call button on my steering wheel, wait for the beep and then say, "navigate to John Smith" all works fine in Android Auto.

It follows that if most of the time I don't use this feature that some of the time I do. The times I do it works like a champ. Clear now?

This has never worked for me, unfortunately. 2016 Hyundai Sonata with built-in Android Auto, Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

For those of you for whom this works, what is your car/head-unit/phone? I would love for this to work, but so far it's a no-go.

This finally worked for me, after failing 50 times. Someone suggested saying "let's go to "name of contact"'s place" . I tried a few times and it didn't work until I said the exact full name of the contact. Then it asked me which address . I said home and it worked. I'm going to try more contacts soon.

I have a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Premier with the Bose upgrade with 8" Mylink. Phone is Moto X Pure with Marshmallow and the May 1, 2016 security patch, Android Auto app ver 2.0.642304, google play services ver 10.0.84 (440-137749526)

We have a Pioneer 4200NEX head unit with firmware version 1.03. Wife and I both have a Galaxy S7 Edge.

I'm having the same issue on my 2016 Chevy Spark with a Galaxy S7 Edge. When I say "Give me directions to <firstname> <lastname>'s house" or anything in a related mater, it just says "I'm not sure what you mean by..." It only works if I give it a full address like "Give me directions to 1234 <street>, <city>"

It's very weird because I can use the "Give me directions to <name>'s house" on Google Now when I'm not connected to Android Auto and it will give me directions.
