Navigation bar miniaturized

[Android Central Question]

With the installation of version 13 on my tablet the navigation bar has been reduced to a miniature version of what it was. The three buttons are very tiny and on the right. I understand that the trend is to cater to youngsters and those with excellent eyesight, but I am assuming that the must be some way to accommodate those of advancing years to whom usability is an issue.

Is there any way to get the important buttons back to the size they used to be so that I can use them without a problem?
