Navigation gestures are really annoying

How do you feel about the gestures honestly? Do you prefer them over the 3 nav buttons or the 2 OnePlus buttons? The 2 OnePlus buttons are the best imo
I do like one plus alot but this Google gesture not bad for big phones and going back by sliding either sides

Navigation gestures on 7T is different than what was on 7 pro when I had. Anyway the one on 7T is similar to the one on Pixel phones probably because it launched with Android 10 and I believe Google is mandating the gestures to be consistent on phones launching with Android 10.

Personally I don't mind, mostly because I'm used to the one on Pixel. For back swipe on any side, for recent apps swipe up from bottom and hold, for home just swipe up from bottom.

The only issue is on apps which have slide in drawers which conflicts with the back gestures. You have to do some circus to get the slide in drawers on apps working which is the main negative on Android 10 gestures.

Another tip:

If you don't hide the bottom bar on the navigation gestures, then you can just swipe on the bottom bar from left to right or right to left to switch between apps. Personally I like the full screen view and so I hide the bottom bar on gesture navigation but it's another option to switch easily between the apps instead on the little cumbersome swipe up and hold and then move left or right to switch apps.

I loved the one plus gestures on the 6t. The 7t not so much. When I want to go back it's like I can never get my thumb all the way across the screen to swipe back lol. Oh well. Using the three buttons at the bottom from now on

You can swipe in from either side to go back so no need to stretch across the screen if you can’t reach.

I don't mind the gestures but I switched back to three button control because I can't get the picture in picture feature to work when using the YouTube app. Otherwise I'd still be using the gestures.

The 3 buttons are still the quickest and most efficient way to navigate.

I do like the Android Q gestures, but I would have preferred seeing the old OnePlus gestures and the Android Pie gestures as well. I know it's asking for too much, but yeah... Everyone wants more.

Just got my 7t, and have to agree, the gestures on my OP6 when swiping from the bottom to go back instead of fr right or left edge, was much easier. The new gestures are not great.

Meh.. they are ok once you get used to them. It's definitely a learning curve for sure.
