Need help buying a tablet for Xmas

So it's been a couple years since I needed to buy a tablet. It seems there are so many options but I have no clue what would I need to buy. Trying to stay budget friendly. I need something that will play Roblox smoothly. I bought a fire hd 7 and the gameplay was choppy, so I had to send it back. I then bought a Samsung SM-T280NZKAXAR Galaxy Tab A 7.0" 8GB, which was also pretty choppy. I have to buy something from best buy, Walmart, or some other retail store, since I have no time for it to make it here for Xmas. I can spend tops $150, but really not trying to go that high unless I have to. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...

You will have to go higher if you want anything good - Much, much higher. In addition you will need to go higher if you want a tablet to last more than a year without being obsolete. I cannot make any suggestions for anything less that 150 that would work for your usage.
