I'm buying one from a friend for 100$(awesome deal) and there's some questions that I need assistance with:
1. Whats the best ROM to flash?
2.What prepaid company should I use?I was thinking T-mobile monthly 4g
3. It has 16 gigs of internal space, can I use that for music and other things besides just applications?
4. If i did use t-mobile monthly 4g, would I have full service or would I only have 2g?
5. What case would you recommend?
6.Does the vivid have any known major bugs/glitches?
7. Is the vivid for att sim unlockable? If so a link to a tutorial would be appreciated.
8. Can you root the phone without an sd card?
Any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated!

1) WCX.
2) People have reported StraightTalk as an alternative to expensive service with overall satisfaction.
3) It has 9 GB of INTERNAL (User) space and 4 GB for System. The 9 GB you can use for whatever files you want.
4) You're paying for 4G, so....that's pretty obvious you'd get 4G, if it is in your location.
5) An Otterbox case is a great way to go for protection, although there are a great amount of cases for the Vivid.
6) On ICS, every time you boot it up, it shows "Optimizing app ## out of ##" because every time you shut it down, it erases the Dalvik-cache. WCX fixed that issue.
7) It is possible for free, but it requires S-OFF. I'll get the link later. If not, just buy an unlock code.
8) You can, it is just preferred that you use an External SD card. I made a rooting post somewhere, I'll dig it up for you if you're interested.

I unlocked and S-OFF'd my phone last week and installed PA3.0 which I like a lot. I wasn't impressed with CM10's for the Vivid, a few bugs that I just couldn't live with.

Can you link to WCX's downloadable ROM/bug report?

Thanks!

PA 3.0 didn't launch or work right on my Vivid, don't know why. But I don't want to S-OFF because I still want to be able to use the RUU.

I can't link it because if he sees that I did it, I get banned from his forum, and I want to be able to get the updates.
