Need help on play store problem..please read!

i bought my new android ICS phone and it was working smooth..then i rooted it and downloaded some apps..then i cannot access play store anymore..i tried every tips i can see on the web..my last resort was to format my phone..and so i did! but to my bitter amusement..it still wont connect when i tried to sync my account.. this is what i'm always seeing

Welcome to the forums!
Were your root procedures for the exact model of your phone? This can sometimes lead to problems due to not every phone roots in the same manner or method.

I think its because you dont have internet connection.
Correct me if i m wrong, but wifi indicator indicates that the wifi connection is local network only, no internet access. (Grey wifi).

I am agreed. It this is the same error comes when your Internet pack expires or you don't have MB to use. Try with the browser by opening something else. You will get solution.
