Need help setting up Yahoo mail push

I'm not sure if I have a syncing issue or if I just don't have the phone set up right. Can someone tell me the proper settings (what I need to have turned on, checked etc and where) to set in order for me to receive an audible indicator whenever I receive new mail? I have a Yahoo account and am using the Yahoo mail app. I want to get notices pretty much as soon as I receive the mail. Thanks.

Open the yahoo mail app for android, now select the menu button at the bottom of your 3D.
General Settings - Notifications Sounds should have a green check by it.

If this does then you should be ok.

Also you might want to go into Settings - Sounds - Notification Sound. This is where you select what sound you want to hear for that app. Unfortunately i have not found a way to make it just for that app. It shares the sound with other apps that make a notification sound.

In Settings>Accounts & Sync do I have to have Auto-Sync turned on in order to get real time notifications?

I believe you have to have AutoSync and Data turned on for this to work. I have never tuned mine off so not sure.
