need help sideloading swpye keyboard onto htc inspire 4g

I have tried all the guides and can't figure it out with my computer. I have an older HP with Windows Vista but it says the driver for my phone isn't installed...

to get the driver, you have to install and then uninstall HTC Sync.
Application - HTC Sync for all HTC Android Phones & HTC Smart

Go to this link and do as instructed (call AT&T and tell them to put you through to tech support). Then ask tech support of the sideload update.

Once that is done and you've checked to enable third party aps (and assuming you registered for the beta of swype) go to Swype | Text Input for Screens on your phoneand download the installer. Click install and it will take you through the setup. I just did this about 5 minutes ago and worked perfectly. No need to even plug it in to your PC
