Need help transferring from htc to note 3

The htc one was my first Android. I loved it but this phone is too good to pass up. I'm having a hard time transferring my data from htc to the note. Samsung kies doesn't offer an htc selection. Any ideas? I'm sure it's easy.

I transferred my contact through Google, but im wanting to mostly transfer my pictures, etc.

Will be transitioning from HTC Rezound with no idea about the Samsung idiosyncrasies and OS overlays. What about the apps on the sd card? Music? Custom ringtones?

Installed and ran Helium, but saw no option to back up to the PC. Certainly, not nearly the backup destination options showed in the app's video.

Samsung phones come with 50Gb free on Dropbox. Upload them to there, then you can view them on the Note 3.

You are getting a Samsung though. So you get dropbox. Then you upload to your dropbox account from your HTC.

I think I'm at a loss of how to back up, say, texts from the phone to Dropbox.

For text messages use sms back up and restore. Back then up and copy the file over to your new phone, download the app and restore the sms messages.

Sorry for being so dense. I hope to find the way to back them up somewhere else other than my almost full SD card. Like on my PC, ideally.
