I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 to replace my old Kindle Fire. I'm having a problem getting the stock browser to download files. When I click to download any file I get a "starting download" popup and then nothing. No files in the download folder either. I've cleared data & cache from the Internet App and still no joy. I'm at my wits end with this. This was supposed to be an upgrade now i'm starting to think I should have stayed with the Kindle. FYI - the dowloading works just fine if I use the Chrome browser (go figure). Any help and advice is greatly appreciated .

Thanks.

...Shoulda bought a Nexus :(

Welcome to the forums.
Honestly not sure what else to suggest. I never really liked the stock browser. What do you like about it over say Chrome? (Not joking, serious question.)

Thanks for the welcome. I have flash in the Chrome now via apk. I guess I just preferred the bookmark setup on the stock browser better.

Yeah, Chrome isn't wonderful for that, but I have grown accustomed to it.
