Need help with HTC sync manager

I am experiencing problems with the HTC sync manager detecting my phone. I have the sync manager installed on pc but it says no phone detected. I have a photo of whats on the notification bar. Any help on what I am doing wrong? The HTC manager opened when I connected my phone so it does somehow detect it. (Music to pass the time)

Could be lots of things as simple as a driver. Tap where it says to change USB connection type. Toggle to something eels and then back to see if that triggers your PC.

Not sure if this is the problem but HTC sync manager requires 2gb of ram while my comp is 1gb of ram. Completely slipped my mind checking requirements before dowloading.
