Need OG thoughts on...

does WP7 allow you to write your own apps? If not I'll stick with android.

I'm not sure what the dev tools look like but Microsoft is pushing hard for dev support. I'd be curious to hear from a dev how hard it is to work with Silverlight and XNA.

I have a feeling there's gonna be a strong development community... I can't wait to see what they'll do with those tiles lol

XDA started with winmo. A jump to WP7 only seems natural to me. SOOOO much conflicting info on the specs for the phones, though. Some places say the HTC has 8gb of internal memory, others 16gb. Some say Snapdragon QSD8250, some MSM8250 (HUGE difference). I hope this gets clarified soon.

I have a feeling that the style there going for... simple, clean, quick... will deliver a very smooth package that's complete. Although by having that you give up some features like the customization that Android has.

I definitely agree. That's a big one for me too because I like tinkering. But maybe it'll be good enough out of the box and the tiles are totally customizable.

At this stage of I was offered a hd7 or a g2 I would pick a g2 without hesitation... and still a year from now unless they really shine I will still without hesitation pick my boy Andy.
