Anyone who has downloaded the official gb update and has used the gb leak from a while back:

Is it worth it for me to go through the unrooting process, sbf back to stock, and dl this official release? Can it be rooted yet? What are the differences?

Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm probably going to stick with my leaked version. I've got everything running well with gingerbread and all the bloatware frozen up.

I did it flashed back to origanal os then got the official update, it is rooted and i removed all the bloatware it seems more smooth and quicker then the leaked pre-rooted .
i had to reload the leak when ever it started glitching.
but so far no issues with the official release even better battery life then i had with the leaked version.
so far no complaints.

Funny, I found gingerbread to eat more battery life, a lot more. I know they probably improved battery life bit but with all the menus being white I think it's even worse than before. I flashed back and am now very veeery happy.

That's where I am now. Bloatware gone, underclocked for battery savings, rooted and ad free. Thinking i'll stay right here until an update that's worth it comes along.

I agree that with the whiter screen it would probably use more battery, but I haven't noticed it being that much worse. After I first updated it was horrible, but that was because it reset my battery and data settings so that they used the most battery power possible. Once I went back through and re-did all of the power saving settings I had before it seems like it's back to normal for me.
