Need to enable background data but don't have mobile data only wifi

[Android Central Question]

I have a j1 android version 5.1.1 I have been trying to downloaded apps from play store but I need to enable background data. I've googled it and tried to go to data usage ect but the option to enable it isn't there because I don't have mobile data. How do I fix this so I can download over WiFi

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select the Play Store, and see if there's an option there to restrict background data specifically for that app.
