Hi

So I set my phone the mistake being made that I put my sim in after transferring and setting up phone via Smart Switch.

This is given me an EUX rather than the standard BTU firmware for the United Kingdom region.

So browsing around about this it says it won't allow any updates to come through and Samsung Pay doesn't work either.

Looked at a few solutions but didn't help.

What a bummer 😕

Where did you purchase it from ? Thats usually Europe or retailer code . Can you return it ? Otherwise youll have to flash the BTU firmware, i rather you return and get the correct one .

I got it from Samsung directly but as I said I checked on some forums the CSC code is picked automatically if you don't insert a sim because it tries to search an active network provider on setup and if it doesn't find it it defaults to the EUX code.

Should I factory reset phone and start all over again?

No don't factory reset, that phone will always have EUX code that's where device is from , you see the 3 letters EUX/EUX/EUX the first 2 will change but the last one won't

Thanks for that.

Organised a collection for a return and it's kinda made me change my mind to keep my Galaxy note 10 plus for a bit longer and see what Samsung has in store from the Galaxy s21 FE or s22.

Maybe a blessing in disguise lol.

Time will tell.

I've noticed I'm on EUX as well.

While I haven't tried Samsung Pay yet it has been setup ok.

I don't think I've had any Android updates yet though.

Does anyone know if I'm on an old or up to date version?

The phone literally just came out. That is the newest/latest version.

When an update is released, every phone will get it, regardless of what your CSC is. There is no such thing as "EUX CSC won't get any updates". Wherever the OP saw that is sorely mistaken

Thank you. I'd never heard of this EUX CSC stuff before so was just going by what the OP had said.
