Netflix Picture in Picture

Just got a T-Mobile LG v30 and Netflix won't play in Picture in Picture mode even though it says Yes in the settings?
What am I doing wrong?

As far as I know Netflix doesn't play in picture-in-picture mode or maybe that's something I just didn't know. I'll have to give it a try. I know YouTube and Maps does though.

Where do you see that option in the settings?

Edit: I found it but I've never known it to work. Strange. I think the OS supports it but has to be updated on Netflix's end.

you have to be running at least Android 8.1 I understand and the lgv30 runs 8.0

Oh wow I didn't know that and it really doesn't make sense given that the other apps can do PiP with no problems.

I can confirm that PiP does indeed work on newly updated devices. I just noticed this on my OnePlus 7 Pro and I forgot about it until it happened.
