Network Trouble with G4

Hey Everybody -

I purchased a new LG G4 with the red leather battery cover to replace my Lumia 1520, which had yet another problem. I like the phone a lot, but am having trouble with the network. Specifically, when I'm at work, I can't get on the internet, though I have four bars according to the phone.. The Lumia worked flawlessly in this regard and all I did was move the SIM Card from the Lumia to the G4. Sometimes, I get delayed texts too, though not always.

Does anyone have a suggestion(s) for improving my network performance?

I'm wondering, if anyone knows, if this is specific to the G4 or android in general? I know much depends on the particulars. If I have to return the G4 and get something else, I'd hate to buy another android phone and have the same networks issues. Thanks for any help.

I have similar problem. At work T-Mobile LTE works great, as it did with Samsung Avant. At another location, LG G4 does not get LTE at all, whereas the Avant had strong LTE signal. Both phones have band 12 support. I also am using the same SIM card.

Same carrier? If not, use SignalCheck to make sure you arn't roaming.

What carrier are you using? Is the phone a carrier model or international version?

Mine is H811. LTE DIiscovery shows strong signal at my work. At other location no LTE at all, mostly 2G, occasionally shows 4G. Samsung Avant got LTE there.

I am using same SIM card from Avant. Should I use the new SIM card that came with the G4?

Is the G4 antenna inferior to the Samsung one?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I figured out I was missing the ADP settings, but I got fooled because it worked at home being hooked up the WiFi and the phone worked. It didn't have the ADP settings because it came from overseas, which I've never had happen before. Thanks again.
