Never thought selling a phone would be this hard

So I decided finally to get rid of my current device and go all in on the Pixel XL 2, panda version. I haven't purchased the device as of yet because I'm waiting for someone, anyone to buy my Note 8. Never thought it would be this difficult to sell a just about mint Note 8 with a couple cases, SD cards and the 360 camera.

While there is nothing wrong with my phone I really haven't used the S-Pen as much as I would have liked and honestly Im getting annoyed at getting security updates untimely and at the end of the month ( literally day B4 the month ends). I've decided that monthly security updates at the beginning of the month , buttery smooth fluidity and no skins are what I prefer, plus the camera is simply stellar.

Checked out one at a VZW store and really saw no issues with the screen so yeah not worried about that. All in all I will be excited once I can get the phone, just have to sell my note 8 first, I know, 1st world problems........lol

See now by the thread title I thought you were having a tuff time selling your Pixel

Agreed, maybe new, but not for used one. No matter the condition, its still used.

With a bunch of accessories, which add to market value.

But, the Human being who it is, it doesn’t wanna pay. It wants a Benz for the price of a Kia.

So, unfortunately, lowering the price or selling everything separately might be the key.

accessories only matter to those who are looking for those accessories to use with the phone. When I sell a phone I have trouble even selling the case with it because they want to get their own case. to each their own but accessories to 1 are not always accessories to another. so value is not always added

I'm just trying to get rid of it, lol but don't want to give it away either. Trying to get fair market value

maybe price it separately from the accessories. then if the phone sells you could maybe get your pixel and cool your heels while the accessories stay advertised for sale. just a thought I guess. I've always had issues trying to sell accessories with the phone.

I'll give it a few days and if that's what I have to do, I'll do it.

I'm surprised that you haven't been able to sell your Note 8 yet! I'm sure you'll be able to sell it soon! And (future) congratulations on your Panda 2 XL!

I too have my Note 8 up for sale. I sold my S8+ in just one day on Craigslist and I thought the Note 8 would go just as fast. I'll start lowering the price slowly in a few days and see what happens.

I have mine listed at 600 and no interest yet.

How was your experience with CL, I've always been wary of them? Might lower my asking price again if I don't get a sale by tomorrow afternoon

Well, aside from all the scammers asking me to accept PayPal and ship the phone, I've had a lot of luck selling several devices this month. My Surface Pro 3 sold in one hour after placing the ad. Nintendo Switch sold within three hours, I sold a 15" MacBook Pro today after running the ad off and on for 3-4 months. My S8+ sold in one day.

I have several other iPhones and an iPad and one of my S7 Edge phones up for sale. Those have very little interest except for the scammers.

Lower the price if you have to but lower it by small increments.

i've sold a ton of stuff on Swappa and imo they're the best selling option out of the 3. Be very careful how you list the phone and that you particularly point out anything that may possibly be "wrong"- any slight wear, etc - some people look for the smallest thing and cause a big fuss if it wasn't "noted in the ad" etc. Take a good look at the Note 8s on Swappa and see what they're going for and what some of the current open ads notes are - there is likely to be more activity among those priced closer to what the public is willing to pay. Yours sounds like it would be a really great option to choose from among the others. Good luck!!

Craigslist isn't bad but boy do you have to really watch out who you discuss your item s with and when / where you meet, etc.

My note sold on Swappa, payment cleared! Now time to order my Pixel 2 XL Panda, just have to decide on 64 or 128 lol

Pixel 2 XL 128 here. I don't want to run out of storage during a day of making videos.
