Yes when u get the update it works like the movie rentals in android 3.1

Its sweet and doesn't seem to screw anything up. Plus, you can uninstall updates from settings and go back to the other market.

Movies I would think in videos for now but I'm sure we will see a movie app just like honeycomb. Books I would guess they would end up in the Google books app.

Just downloaded Market app and it worked just fine. When I tried to download a movie, an error message appeared advising that it's "Not supported on rooted devices" Error 49.

This will really be a bummer until devs find a way around it.

The whole rooted not supported thing has been going on sence the xoom got movies and that update hit in late may early June. I hope the devs can find a work around but it does not look good

Enjoy the old one while it last pretty soon u won't have an option. I did not like the new UI at first but it really has grown on me the more I use it.

I very much disliked the UI at first, but after playing with it for awhile, it's begun to grow on me. I love the alphabetized listing for my apps, much easier to find something I may want to install. Also don't have to give any reason when you un-install an app, which is nice.
One thing i was thinking, and perhaps I shouldn't even post it is since you can switch accounts, what's to stop me from downloading the apps she bought on her account, installing them on mine, and getting them for "free"?

Nothing, I'm guessing its like apple with how you can install apps from someone else's itunes account.

That's what I was thinking, although I didn't know you could do it with Apple, I was thinking of the PS3. I may have to get my GF to install this update, so I can try it out.
