So, I've been doing a little research on replacing the battery in my 23 ultra. I guess, I'm not desperate. Battery is adequate, but it certainly has deteriorated a bit.

There seems to be some third party outfits that do it in my area. But what do you guys recommend if you've done it?

I want to replace mine too at some point. Does Samsung have a service center near you? Any competent repair shop could probably do it, but they have to be careful to insure proper sealing and adhesive application is done, otherwise it could affect the device's water resistance.

I investigated, and in my city there are several branches of UbreakitIfix, or however it's spelled. They offered to do it for $97. However, they did not have the battery in stock, it would take several days to order it for my 23 ultra.

They said once it was in, I make an appointment and they would have the phone back to me in 2 hours. I suppose that's a pretty good deal. On the other hand I might just go ahead and upgrade soon, so...

Don't give up on the S23 yet. It's a great phone. I bought an S25 Ultra and I still prefer my S23 Ultra.

I had a battery swelling issue with my S23 and it was repaired under the Samsung Care+ warranty at a local ubreakit shop. They did a perfect repair job which extended the life of my S23 past my usual 2-year upgrade cycle. Definitely worth it in my opinion.
