New camera app

...Also, you can turn off auto-update on an app-by-app basis. The option is in the overflow menu in Google Play when you're on the app page (in fact it's like the one thing still there).

Yes, they left in a bit of the exposure stuff, but white balance and scene "preconfigured settings" really need to be included. I'm convinced this "lite" camera isnt' supposed to be the full app. We'll see with 4.4.3 I s'pose.

I can see them going either way. Google does like UI simplicity, after all. They could ultimately go for an app that tries to choose all the right options on its own and just doesn't offer user-facing settings. Most people use their phone cameras as point-and-shoots. They could just decide they're not going to cater their app to advanced users.
