New contacts email address not added to Outlook(exchange)

For some reason, contacts added to the phone, phone numbers addresses make it to outlook, but email addresses do not. I'm on an exchange server. This is frustrating, because I have to enter details twice, once on phone, and then again on my computer to get the email address for that person included....any ideas guys....
