New DINC owner with a couple of questions

Hey everyone, I just picked up a DINC the other day and so far I love it.

One thing is I'm coming from the BB family so I'm used to a certain keyboard layout. Is there a BlackBerry keyboard available anywhere for download?

Is there a way to set different SMS notification tones for different contacts? What about for different email accounts?

Also with the download of Froyo 2.2 how do I know if my video is recording in 720p?

for the second one,
go to the camera/ video app.
under settings there is one for 720p. select it.

Not sure about your keyboard question....and tony answered your 720p question so I am gonna expand a little.

I'm not sure if there is a keyboard out there that allows for customizable layouts (unless you draw up your own keyboard from scratch)... but I wonder how hard it would be for a Dev to develop a keyboard that allows you to rearrange where certain buttons are? Obviously you aren't going to change the qwerty layout unless you are l33t, but other buttons that could be changed out of preference.

Or I could just be clueless and there might be one out there developed already...

Yea I was kinda hoping to find more variances between the different keyboards when I got my DINC.

The keyboard along with not being able to set custom SMS tones has been a real bummer

You can set custom sms tones...download handcent sms...total custom tones for contacts.

your coming from blackberry, dont be bummed!
be happy that your now a part of the droid family!
its definitely a big leap from bb, but way worth it in the end, play around with the keyboard and i think you'll come to like it, and if not check out the app Swiftkey in the market to change your layout. it literally learns what you type and predicts what you're gonna say before you know it! its pretty amazing, and if you ever get interested in messing around with your phone and tweaking it to your exact needs, look up and check out the ROMS and Hacks section, taught me most of what I know!
