New Droid Razr MAXX

this is why everyone should get their phones through costco. You get 90 days to exchange your phone.

However, with smart actions i can get 3 days of use on my phone between charges. With the maxx I would only have to charge once a week.

Wow, that didn't take long...

Kinda pisses me off that they did to new Razr owners the same thing they did to Bionic owners....

Motorola in general doesn't seem to think much of their customers. Look at how they treated their Xoom owners with 4G LTE upgrade followed by the release of the Xyborg.

With the release of yet another Razr, current Motorola probably shouldn't expect as much focus or support in updating or fixing the known bugs and flaws. Motorola focus will be on their latest and greatest blurred out, buggy phone.

I was a long time Motorola customer going back to the first StarTac phone.

At this point in order for me to purchase a new Motorola product, it would need to be something flat out spectacular.

Samsung and Motorola seem to have this problem bad

Seems like I'm the only one excited about this. I will gladly upgrade from my bionic. I was actually thinking about getting a razr but wanted to wait after CES to see what's on the horizon. So far this one is at the top of my list. Yeah, I understand the annoyance too. I do have a bionic and shortly after the razr came out.

From what it looks like reading the article, they did to the battery life what they should have done with the original release of the first Droid Razr.

Personally, I don't really care. My razr's battery lasts me the day. They're shipping the same device with an extended battery. Big deal.

Apparently their Blur staff haven't completed the blur out of ICS because even the MAXX will not come with ICS.

I'm not upset with a new phone coming out. I get great battery life with Smart Actions. The bigger battery on the RAZR MAXX is going to make it thicker and it's not like it has a better screen, so I'm good with the original RAZR I got in November.

A lot of Bionic owners felt the same way... why was the Bionic developed/shipped/sold/marketed when there was a device that was better around the corner. Practically, it's lame of Moto, but eh, if you're happy with your device, just be happy.

Something new and shiny was always going to come up next.

Rightfully so. As far as I'm concerned, the Bionic is at least in the near future my final Motorola mobile device purchase. They really lost a lot of my trust and support with how they treated those of us who purchased the Xoom.

The fact that they are marketing yet another Razr, with little tweaks yet still lacking the current OS seems to be just another simple money grab by Motorola. There is nothing unique, exciting, or cutting edge about the Razr.

It seems like Motorola lost the desire to be cutting edge and exciting after the release and success of the original droid. So like what they did with the original razr where they sold it and ran it into the ground literally that seems to be what they are doing with the droid line of devices. Kind of pathetic in my opinion. As far that aspect of things go, Apple has it right. Do one mobile phone per year, do it well and do it right.

If the maxx delays ICS for my Droid Razr I will be upset. I am not unhappy with the battery life nor am I ever far from a charger so I would still choose this Razr over the maxx tomorrow.

That's another strike against MOTO in my opinion. You can't change the battery because it's sealed. So they make yet another Razr with a larger battery. Where with most other Droids all you need to do is buy a bigger battery for the phone and not an entirely new phone.

If you want the latest and greatest device... PC, or any other electronic device... all you have to do is wait another month or two and you will see a better device. Come on people... do you really think Motorolo or any other company is just going to stop producing better devices after you buy their latest device???

I'm fine with it since it's just a different battery and not the better screen, processor and camera like the Chinese Razr. Besides, what are your choices, Samsung or HTC! No thanks! Motorola is the only safe way to go.

One reason I love my phone so much is its size. I don't need it to.be thicker so this does nothing for me. My RAZR already lasts way longer than my Thunderbolt so I can manage.

I'm not mad because its not any better. Its essentially an extended battery. I don't want a fat Razr

Pretty much everything lasts longer than the Tbolt.
