Hi,
I downloaded a Demo to test it. The video is recording but I can`t play it neither on computer nor on my smartphone. The player that is suggested to download in the app doesn`t play the video also. I `m getting an error when trying to view the video. All players show an error - can`t open file
The smartphone is Sony Xperia Miro The root is set up.

What can be the issue? Please, help.

I tried to use this app with CM 10.1 build 20130117 on the i9300, and the recorded colours was inverted/negative.
I then tried with WanamLite, and it worked like a charm.
Any chance to see this fixed?

Hi, judging from this thread I am assuming you are the dev for Screencast Video Recorder.

I purchased Screencast Video Recorder and absolutely loved it. One day, like many people's copy, mine stopped working. I have been all over the net for about a month. I have spent countless hours reading "solutions" and trying different apps, but none work as advertised. Your does. Or rather, it did.

Anyway, I am a Youtube partner, an actual partner, not just a monetized one and I rely very heavily on these sorts of apps.

I am not sure if a fix is coming or not, but once you fix this, I will gladly plug your app in a video and even place a market link to it under every video I do from that point on That is how much I loved the app, and how much I ultimately need it as well. I also want everyone else to have their copies working again also of course.

Samsung Galaxy S3 i747M
Rooted.
Running Custom AOKP jelly bean 4.2.1 rom (aokp_JB_4.2_d2att-ota-eng.task650-1.17.2013).

Let me list what I have tried thus far.

To rule out a specific ROM I flashed several diff roms, no joy. Same issue, black screen, very small file size.
I have adjusted all settings in the app and tried every possible combo.
Uninstalled and installed several times.

N7 compatibility is not likely to see the light any time soon, if ever. We were able to get it working but the solution is too intrusive to release to the public.

Disable HW Overlay from the Developer Options menu. Let me know if this helps.

Hello, mediasol. I do not know your e-mail, and so I write here. I enjoy your program.

I use it for a year and I recommended it to all my friends. But it is far from perfect and slowly works, even on powerful devices.

Therefore, I ask to update your software, and:
- Add support for high resolution: 1920x1080; 1920x1200; 1920x1280; 2048x1536
- Add a recording at 60 frames per second (this is very important!)
- Add support for Tegra 4 (not necessarily)

Thanks in advance. Of course, you are unlikely to do so, but if it did, you would be the best in the Android Market!

Tried the demo and I don't know why it isn't working properly. I have a rooted SGS3 with Wicked Sensations Team Venum ROM. I have checked Force GPU rendering off, High resolution set, tried 20 & 30 FPS (benchmark says good for 31 fps). The screen flickers like crazy and isn't very fluid at all.........nevermind....I figured it out....I forgot to check off Disable Hardware Overlays......Glad I tried it again, I was almost going to buy a different app for a few bucks more. You got yourself another sale

Anyone using this on a China phone with the MediaTek MT6577 chipset or a Zopo ZP900? It is working fine on a phone with the MT6575 chipset but not working on a Zopo ZP900, both phones have Android v4.0.4. On the Zopo ZP900 I am getting a recording of a blank screen mostly with occasional flashes of the screen image.

hey, i have bought the screencast app and it wont let me record, when i click record it starts to record and then says file saved but it says it is still recording so i went on my recordings on screencast and it just showed a ! mark in the middle where the picture should be so i tried re-downloading it 3 times still didnt work so i recorded and stop for over 30 times and one of the times it recorded my screen but it was in half and underneth the half was the same half and the video was all messes up it was like someone just took 500 LSD tablets my phone is the sony xperia j android system 4.0.4

Tegra3 platforms share the same issue. There will probably not be an official released fix for any Nvidia platforms.
